Front Brake Rotor, Replacing
• Replace the bolts - 1 and 13 -.
• Must always be replaced together on both sides of axle
Removing
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the wheels.
- Remove brake pads, refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads.
- Remove the brake caliper, refer to => [ Front Brake Caliper ] Front Brake Caliper.
• Secure the brake caliper to the vehicle with a suitable wire. Do not support the weight of the brake caliper with the brake hose.
- Remove the bolt - 1 - on the brake rotor.
- Remove the brake rotor from the wheel hub.
• When removing the brake rotor from the wheel hub, do not tilt the disc.
Installing
• Replace the bolts - 1 and 13 -.
Clean the brake rotor, wheel hub and contact surfaces with brake cleaner before installing.
- Place the brake rotor on the hub.
• When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.
- Install the new bolt - 1 - and tighten it to 9 Nm.
- Install the brake caliper, refer to => [ Front Brake Caliper ] Front Brake Caliper.
- Install brake pads, refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads.
• Before moving vehicle, depress brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.
- Mount the wheels.
After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
