Steering Column Switch Module

Removing


The technician must discharge static electricity before disconnecting the electrical connector - 3 -, for example by touching the door striker pin.

- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

- Remove the driver airbag.

- Remove steering wheel.

- Remove steering column trim.

- Remove bolt - 1 -.





- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Press catch - 1 - in - direction of arrow - until harness connector - 2 - disengages.





- Remove the steering column switch module carefully.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Module and Electronic Ignition Lock Assembly Overview ] Steering Column Switch Module and Electronic Ignition Lock Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install steering column trim.

- Install steering wheel.

- Install the driver airbag.
