Transmission Neutral Position Sensor (G701)

• On for vehicles with the Start/Stop System.

• Transmission installed.

Removing






- Loosen the fasteners - 2 and 3 - and remove the rear noise insulation.

- Move gearshift lever - 2 - forward in direction of - arrow - and shift into 4th gear.






• Ignore - 1 -.

- Disconnect the connector from the transmission neutral position sensor (G701) - 1 -.






- Remove the bolt - arrow - and remove the transmission neutral position sensor - A -.






• The cover - B - remains installed.

Installing

- Install the transmission neutral position sensor - A - with a new O-ring in the gearshift shaft cover - B -.

- Tighten the new bolt - arrow - to the tightening specification.

- Connect the connector to the transmission neutral position sensor - 1 -.






- Install the noise insulation.
