Night Vision System Control Module (J853)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

• The night vision system control module is located in the left front footwell.

• If the night vision system control module is replaced, then the program must be started on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".

- Loosen the left front seat and push it to the rear with the wires still connected.

- Remove the floor mat.

- Remove the sill panel strip.

- Remove the foot rest.

- Disengage the floor covering and push it to the side.

- Unlock the clips in direction of - arrow -.






- Open the cover - 1 -.

- Press the tab in direction of - arrow - and remove the night vision system control module - 3 - from the E-box.






- Release the connectors - 1 and 2 - and disconnect them from the night vision system control module - 3 -.

• Disconnect the connector - 2 - first and then - 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

If the night vision system control module was replaced, then the program must be started on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".
