Connecting Brace

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Drill

• 5 mm Drill Bit

Removing






- Remove the bumper cover mount. Refer to => [ Bumper Cover Mount ] Bumper Cover Mount.

- Disconnect the connector - 5 - from the front airbag crash sensor. Pay attention to the Safety Precautions.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the horn.

- Remove the bolt - 4 - and the horn bracket.

- Drill out the rivet head - 3 - and strike the rivet shaft.

- Loosen the bolt - 6 -, remove the bolt - 2 - and remove the connecting brace - 7 -.

Installing

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Impact Bar Overview ] Impact Bar Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the connector to the front airbag crash sensor. Pay attention to the Safety Precautions.

- Install the bumper cover mount. Refer to => [ Bumper Cover Mount ] Bumper Cover Mount.
