Impact Member, With Trailer Hitch

Removing






- Remove the cable mount. Refer to => [ Cable Mount ] Cable Mount.

- Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to => [ Bumper Cover ] Bumper Cover.

- Remove the spare wheel well trim, if equipped.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove the mount - 2 -.

- Press the grommet - 3 - outward.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove the impact member - 3 - with a second technician.






- Remove the grommet - 2 - and the cable - 1 -.

- If replacing the impact member, remove the trailer hitch socket.

Installing

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Impact Member To Trailer Hitch - Tightening Specification and Sequence ] Impact Bar Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the trailer hitch socket.

- Install the spare wheel well trim.

- Install the rear bumper cover. Refer to => [ Bumper Cover ] Bumper Cover.
