Upper Instrument Panel Cover

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Wedges (T10383/1)

Removing

- Remove the upper A-pillar trim. Refer to => [ A-pillar Upper Trim ] A-Pillar Upper Trim.

- Vehicles with windshield projection (heads up display): remove the cover from the windshield projection heads up display control module (J898). Refer to=> [ Windshield Projection Head Up Display Control Module Cover J898 ] Windshield Projection Head Up Display Control Module Cover J898.

- Remove the sunlight photo sensor (G107).






- Remove the screw - 1 - from the instrument panel cover.

- Remove the left and right bolt near the A-pillar - 1 -.






- Unclip the instrument panel cover - 2 - from the instrument panel using a wedge (T10383/1) - arrows -.

- Remove the instrument panel cover from the instrument panel.

- Remove the instrument panel cover just far enough until it is possible to disconnect the connector from the treble speaker.

- Guide instrument panel cover on the front passenger side on the A-pillar and remove it.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Set the instrument panel cover in place and feed electrical harness connectors for sunlight photo sensor (G107) and speaker through the openings in the instrument panel cover.

- Press the instrument panel cover until it engages.
