Front Sill Panel Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing

- Remove the instrument panel side cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] Instrument Panel Side Cover.

- Remove the A-pillar gap cover. Refer to => [ A-pillar Gap Cover ] A-Pillar Gap Cover.

- Remove the B-pillar lower trim. Refer to => [ Lower B-pillar Trim ] Lower B-Pillar Trim.

Driver side:

- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Cover - Driver Side ] Instrument Panel Cover - Driver Side.

- Remove hood release cable operating lever. Refer to => [ Hood Release Cable Operating Lever ] Hood Release Cable Operating Lever.

- Remove the front sill panel trim screw - 1 -.






Procedure for both sides of vehicle:

- Unclip the front sill panel strip - 2 - from the sill panel beginning at the front using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows -.

- Remove the front sill panel strip.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Driver side:

- Engage the front sill panel trim on the operating lever mount and push it into the foot compartment.

Passenger side:

- Slide the front sill panel trim guide into the carpet.

Procedure for both sides of vehicle:

- Clip the front sill panel trim onto the sill panel and stretch the door seal lip.
