High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Modules (J343)/(J344)

• Always disconnect the battery wire strap before working on gas-discharge headlamp components marked with yellow high-voltage symbols.

Removing






- Remove the front wheel housing liner..

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove the housing cover - 1 -.

- Press the tab - 2 - and disconnect the connector - 1 -.






• Ignore - item 3 - and - arrows -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the control module - 1 - from the headlamp housing.

- Press the tabs - 2 and 5 - and disconnect the adapter cable - 3 - and connector - 6 -.

- Remove the control module.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ HID Headlamps Overview ] HID Headlamps Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the seal - 4 - between the control module and the headlamp housing is not damaged.

- Close the housing cover and tighten the bolts.

- Install the front wheel housing liner..
