Comfort System Central Control Module (J393)

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing






- Remove the right luggage compartment trim panel..

- Open the cable tie - 4 - and move the wiring harness slightly to the side.

- Remove the nuts - 2 and 3 - and pull the frame - 1 -, together wit the central control module, off the retaining pin - arrow -.

- Turn the frame and central control module over.






- Cut the cable tie - 4 -.

- Open the tabs - 3 - - arrows A - and remove the comfort system central control module - 2 - from the frame - 1 - - arrow B -.

- Disconnect the connectors - 1 and 3 -.






- Carefully pull the fuse - 6 - and disconnect the antenna connector - 7 -.

- Disconnect the connectors - 2, 4 and 5 -.

- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.






Installing

Tightening specification, refer to=> [ Luggage Compartment Relay, Fuse Carrier and Control Modules Overview ] Luggage Compartment Relay, Fuse Carrier and Control Modules Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
