Access/Start Authorization Switch E415 Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Special ignition lock pliers (VAS 6339)

Removing






- Remove the trim from the instrument panel. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Trim ] Instrument Panel Trim

- Insert the special pliers (VAS 6339) through the flaps.

- Insert tips of the special pliers in the two holes - arrows A - of the switch - 2 - for access and start authorization (E415).

- Squeeze together the special pliers - arrows B -, whereupon the tips of the pliers are spread and the trim retaining tabs.

- With one hand keep the special pliers squeezed together and with the other hand remove the trim - 1 - - arrow C -.

• Only use the special pliers to release (VAS 6339). Remove the trim by hand.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
