Multimedia Control Head 2 (E499)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

The multimedia control head 2 - 1 - is located inside the rear center armrest.






- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Removing

- Fold down the rear center armrest.

- Fold the rear section - 3 - of the rear center armrest upward.






- Unclip the cover - 2 - behind the multimedia control head 2 - 1 -.

The surfaces can get scratched very easily.

Tape off all surfaces and components!

Spring clips - 1 - attach the multimedia control head 2 - 2 - to the rear center armrest.






- Starting at the back - arrow -, press the multimedia control head 2 - 1 - out of the rear center armrest - 2 - using (3409).

Tape off all surfaces and components!

- Unlock and disconnect the connector on the back of the multimedia control head 2 - 1 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
