Front Passenger Footrest Adjustment Motor V462

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Special pop rivet pliers (V.A.G 1753A)

• Drill

• Protective eye wear

• Locking compound => Parts Catalog.

Removing






- Remove backrest cover together with backrest cushion. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Backrest Cushion, Reclining Seat ] Backrest Cover and Backrest Cushion, Reclining Seat.

- Remove lumbar support. Refer to => [ Lumbar Support ] Lumbar Support.

- Pop the pin - 2 - out using an upholstery needle.

- Remove expanding rivet - 1 - and bracket - 3 - from the backrest frame.

- Repeat on the opposite side.








Eye injury risk.

• Wear protective eye wear!

- Drill out rivet - 2 -.

- Unscrew the bolts - 1 - for the footrest adjustment - 3 -.

- Disconnect the harness connector - 3 - at the front passenger footrest adjustment motor (V462).

• Wear protective eye wear!

- Drill out rivets - 1 -.

- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Remove the footrest adjustment - 4 - from the backrest frame.

Installing

- Install the footrest adjustment - 4 - in the backrest frame and rivet it into place.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
