Rear Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J391)

For the rear fresh air blower control module to be able to be removed, the entire center console including the base support of center console - A - and insulation mat - B - installed between the base support and rear A/C unit - C - must be removed.






Removing

- Remove the driver and front passenger seat.

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the base support of center console - A - and insulation mat - B -.

The heat sink on the rear fresh air blower control module may be hot.

- In the case of vehicles with a rear A/C unit, pull heater core - A - slightly out of the A/C unit due to coolant lines - C - (to create space for installing the rear fresh air blower control module), refer to => [ Rear Heater Core Removal From A/C Unit ] Rear Heater Core Removal From A/C Unit.






- Remove connectors - B - and - C - from the rear fresh air blower control module.






- Remove bolts - A -.

- Remove the rear fresh air blower control module - D -.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the following.

- The rear fresh air blower control module as a replacement part is available in different versions. Ensure the correct allocation using Electronic Parts Catalog.

- Install the removed parts in the opposite order.

- Perform the basic setting and the output diagnostic test mode of the A/C system using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- Check the event memory of the rear A/C display control head and the Climatronic control module and erase any displayed malfunctions using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
