- Tighten the bolts - 1 - all the way hand-tight.

- Install and tighten the bolts by hand in the following sequence: - 2 through 7 -.

- Tighten the bolts in a - 2 to 7 - sequence to 20 Nm.

- Tighten bolts to - 1 - to 40 Nm.

• If the tightening sequence is not followed, the impact member will installed with trailer hitch under tension.
