Rear Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motors V87/V88

Left rear seat forward/back adjustment motor (V87) / right rear seat forward/back adjustment motor (V88)

Removing






• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

- Seat frame Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove the cover from the lower seat frame. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame Cover ] Lower Seat Frame Cover.

- Remove locking washers - 2, 4 -.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - and then remove the bracket - 3 -.

- Disconnect and free up the electrical connector - 5 -.

- Remove spring washer - 8 - using a screwdriver and press pins - 7 - out.

- Remove seat forward/back adjustment motor - 6 - with spindle from the lower seat frame.

Installing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

• Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
