Rear Brakes Assembly Overview
• Only install complete repair kit.
1 Electrical Connection
• Connection for the motor.
• Connection for the brake pad wear indicator wire.
• Install in the bracket.
• Make sure the bracket is installed correctly.
2 Wire for Brake Pad Wear Indicator
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pad Wear Display Wire ] Brake Pad Wear Display Wire.
3 Bleed Screw
4 Electromechanical Parking Brake Motor
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Electromechanical Parking Brake Motor ] Service and Repair.
5 Ribbed Bolt
• Always replace.
• When loosening and tightening, counter-hold at guide pin.
• 35 Nm
6 Brake Caliper
• Do not unscrew brake hose when replacing brake pad.
• Brake caliper, servicing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper and Brake Carrier ] Brake Caliper and Brake Carrier.
• Replacing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper ] Brake Caliper.
7 Bolt
• 5 Nm
8 Brake Disc
• Must always be replaced together on both sides of vehicle.
• Remove brake caliper before removing.
• Brake disc allocation, refer to => [ Brakes ] Brakes.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Disc ] Brake Disc.
• Replacing, refer to => [ Brake Disc, Replacing ] Brake Disc, Replacing.
9 Brake Pads
• Must always be replaced together on both sides of vehicle.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads.
• Brake pad allocation, refer to => [ Brakes ] Brakes.
• Inner brake pad with brake pad wear display wire.
10 Brake Pad Spring
• Always replace when pads are replaced.
• Make sure it fits correctly in the brake carrier.
11 Brake Carrier with Guide Pins and Protective Cap
• Supplied as an assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on guide pins.
• If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, install repair kit. Use grease packet supplied to lubricate guide pins.
• For brake rotor removal, removing the brake carrier.
12 Brake Carrier Bolt
• 100 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace.
13 Bracket
14 Bracket Bolt
• 10 Nm
15 Brake Hose
• Brake hose in brake caliper: 19 Nm
• Brake hose to brake pipe line: 12 Nm
• Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle.
16 Retaining Clip
17 Bolts for the Motor
• 12 Nm
