Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ The gearbox warning light comes on.
^ No driving modes can be selected.
^ The driving mode is not shown on the gear lever.
At least one of the following entries is logged in the memory under diagnosis address 02 (gearbox control unit):
P091400 - Selector lever electrical malfunction
U010300 - Selector lever, no communication
U040400 - Selector lever range/performance
Technical Background
New software in the Selector Lever Control Module (J587) addressed the condition.

Try to reproduce the customer complaint so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB.
SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the Selector Lever Module (81) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
