Telephone Transceiver, CAN
The telephone transceiver (R36) is located under the front passenger's seat.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Remove the ignition key.
- If control module is replaced, select replacement function for appropriate control module in guided fault-finding routine.
Use the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051) to do so.
Removing
- Remove the right front seat.
- Fold back the floor mat.
- Disengage cover of E-box - 2 - and open the E-box - 1 -.
The telephone transceiver is only wedged into the electronics box.
- Pry the telephone transceiver - 5 - out of the E-box - 4 -.
- Disconnect the connector - 3 - (connector - 2 - not installed).
- Disconnect Bluetooth antenna (R152) - 1 -.
Installing
- Install in reverse order.
- Adapt the Bluetooth connection between the telephone transceiver and cellular telephone (R54).
