Comfort System Central Control Module (J393)

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.


Danger of unintended engine ignition.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Open the luggage compartment right side trim.






- Release the retaining clips in the direction of the - arrows - and remove the comfort system central control module - 4 - from the retaining frame.

- Carefully disconnect electrical harness connector - 1 - and - 3 - and antenna connector - 7 -.

- Disconnect the connectors - 2, 5, 6 -.

- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in the direction of the - arrow - and remove connector.






- Remove the comfort system central control module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Follow the prompts on the vehicle diagnostic tester display in the case of a new comfort system central control module.
