Access/Start System Antenna 1 in Vehicle Interior (R138)

Removing







Danger of unintended engine ignition.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Vehicles with MMI basic equipment: remove the center console cover.

- Vehicles with MMI comfort equipment: remove the multimedia system control head (E380).

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Remove bolt - 4 -.

- Remove the access/start system antenna 1 in vehicle interior (R138) - 1 -.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Interior Access/Start Authorization Antenna 1 Tightening Specifications ] Keyless Access System Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- When installing, make sure the interior access/start authorization antenna 1 engages in the mount - 2 -.

- Vehicles with MMI basic equipment: install the center console cover.

- Vehicles with MMI comfort equipment: install the multimedia system control head.
