Backrest Cover, Separating From Cushion

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634)

• The work description given applies to the Standard front seat, the Sport front seat (manual or power), the Comfort seat and the folding seat.

Removing






- Remove the seat backrest cover and cushion:

• Standard seat and Sport seat (manual or power) and Comfort seat, refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion ] Backrest Cover and Cushion.

• Folding seat. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion, Passenger Folding Seat ] Backrest Cover and Cushion, Passenger Folding Seat.

- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 2 -.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Make sure the contour strips fit correctly and the cover is not wrinkled.

- When installing new upholstery clips, use (V.A.G 1634).
