Oxygen Sensor behind Three Way Catalytic Converter G130

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Ring spanner 7-piece set for oxygen sensor (3337)

Removing

- Pull rear engine cover off - arrows -.





- Free up the fuel supply line - 4 - and hose connection - 1 - to the EVAP canister on the air filter housing and on the air guide tube.





- Remove vacuum hose - 2 - from the air guide hose.

- Remove air guide hose by loosening the hose clamp - 3 - and opening the clips - arrows -.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 5 - for the oxygen sensor (O2S) behind three way catalytic converter (TWC) (G130).





- Remove Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Behind Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) (G130) - 2 - using a tool from the Ring spanner 7-piece set for oxygen sensor (3337).





• The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• New oxygen sensors are coated with assembly paste; the paste must not get into slots of oxygen sensor body.

• For a used oxygen sensor, only coat threads with hot bolt paste. This paste must not come into contact with sensor slots. Refer to

• Electrical wire of oxygen sensor must always be secured in the same position when installing so that contact with the exhaust pipe is avoided.

• During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.
