The symbol for dynamic steering is illuminated in the instrument cluster. A DTC for overload or overuse is stored in the active steering control module (J792), address word 1B. The environmental data from the GFF log matches the example shown in the Technical Background section.

An optimized control unit J792 was implemented in production vehicles.

Service
Verify the customers concern matches the Condition and Technical Background described in this TSB. Replace the control unit J792 according to the repair manual and not the steering column as described in the guided fault finding.
