Before performing this Update, check ElsaWeb for Open Criteria. ALL open criteria must be completed.





Note:
Perform the section(s) that apply to the vehicle based on the Open Applicable Criteria ID(s).

Applicable Criteria ID(s) (Figure 1, arrow 1) and "Open" (Figure 1, arrow 2) is shown in Campaign/Action Status under the Campaigns/Actions tab in
ElsaWeb.

Section 01: Applicable Criteria ID 01

ECM Software Update

This update is only for specific models with Applicable Criteria ID 01 shown in Elsa Campaign/Action Status. Do not attempt this on vehicles that do not show Applicable Criteria ID 01 open.

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732, 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the engine control module using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.

3. A8 vehicles with Applicable Criteria ID 02 will automatically update with this SVM Code.

Section 02: Applicable Criteria ID 02

TCM Software Update

This update is only for specific models with Applicable Criteria ID 02 shown in Elsa Campaign/Action Status. Do not attempt this on vehicles that do not show Applicable Criteria ID 02 open.

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732, 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the transmission control module using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.

3. If Applicable Criteria ID 03 or 04 is open, continue on to applicable section.

Section 03: Applicable Criteria ID 03

Standstill "fast" Adaptation

This adaptation is only for specific models with Applicable Criteria ID 03 shown in Elsa Campaign/Action Status.

Do not attempt this on vehicles that do not show Applicable Criteria ID 03 open.

1. Follow all instructions in the attached STANDSTILL ADAPTATION.





2. Standstill Adaption can only be performed on vehicles listed in the table above.

Note:
For the 2011 or 2012 A4, A5, A5 Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles, this update is for vehicles with 2012 ECM software. Other ECM software versions are not affected by this Applicable Criteria ID. Do not attempt to adapt vehicles not shown as affected in ElsaWeb.

Section 04: Applicable Criteria ID 04

Informal Test Drive Adaption

This test drive is only for specific models with Applicable Criteria ID 04 shown in Elsa Campaign/Action Status. Do not perform this on vehicles that do not show Applicable Criteria ID 04 open.

1. Follow all instructions listed below.





2. Informal test drive adaptation should only be performed on vehicles listed in the table above.

3. Test-drive the vehicle for 15 minutes. During the test drive, use no more than 60% throttle and go through the gears (1-6, 6-1) multiple times.
Note:
For the 2011 A4, A5, A5 Cabriolet and Q5 vehicles, this adaptation is only for vehicles with 2011 ECM software level and TCM software that changes TCM software suffix. TCM software suffix that change (i.e. ***Q 0002 to ***S 1005) will clear the adaptation. Other ECM software versions are not affected by this Applicable Criteria ID. Do not attempt to update vehicles not shown as affected in ElsaWeb.
