Seat Pan Cover and Upholstery

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634)

Separating Cover and Padding From Seat Pan






Removing

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front backrest ] Front Backrest.

- Remove the seat heating connector.

- Disconnect the seat occupied sensor connector, if equipped.

- Remove fastening strips - 2 -.

- Disengage cover - 1 -.

- Remove fastening strips - 1 -.






- Disengage hooks - 2 -.

- Remove cover and padding.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Separate the cover from the cushion

3 Upholstery Clips

• Version A

4 Clip

• Version B

Version A upholstery clips, refer to => [ (Item 3) Upholstery Clips ].






- Cut the upholstery clips - 2 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 3 -.

Version B clip, refer to => [ (Item 4) Clip ].






- Pry cover wire - 3 - out with a screwdriver from behind - direction of arrow A - out of clip - 2 -.

- Do the same with all other clips.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 4 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- When installing new upholstery clips, use (V.A.G 1634).
