Recirculation Door Motor (V113)
• Versions vary for vehicles ( Climatronic Control Module (J255) ) with A/C system version Comfort and Basic. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.
• With Recirculation Door Motor Position Sensor (G143) on Comfort version A/C system
• On vehicles with Basic version A/C system, the control motor is moved only to its two end positions over the activation period by the Climatronic Control Module, it is not possible to detect malfunctions because of a missing potentiometer.
Removing
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove lower right instrument panel trim..
- Mark the installation position of coupling rod - D - and remove it from control motor - B -.
- Disconnect connector - C - from Recirculation Door Motor.
- Remove bolts - A -.
Installing
- Check the version of Recirculation Door Motor - B - and remove it.
- Check function of the installed control motor. To do this, switch ignition on and actuate the control motor through the different settings on the Climatronic Control Module so that it moves from fresh air mode into air recirculation mode and back again into fresh air mode (only necessary on vehicles with Basic version A/C control head).
- Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module and erase any faults displayed if necessary using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. (Only on vehicles with the Comfort A/C system)
- Perform basic setting (and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) if necessary) on the A/C system using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function (only in vehicles with Comfort version A/C system).
- Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.
