Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp in Exterior Mirrors, through 05.09

Removing






- Remove the mirror glass.

To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Remove the screws - 4 and 5 -.

- Release the retaining tabs - 3 - in the - direction of arrow A -.

- Release the retaining clip - 1 - and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing - 2 - from the cover - B arrows -.

- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and pull the exterior rearview mirror housing - 1 - upward slightly.






- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - for the lane change assist warning lamp on the front side of the mirror adjusting unit mount - 3 -.

- Pull the exterior mirror housing upward and disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.






Ignore items - 1, 2 and 4 - and the - arrow -.

- Release the retaining tabs - A arrows - and press the lane change assist warning lamp - 1 - out of the exterior rearview mirror housing - 2 - - arrow B -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

If a Light Emitting Diode (LED) is faulty, the entire lane change assistance warning lamp in the exterior rearview mirror must be replaced.

- Install the exterior rearview mirror housing.
