Drive Axle






Drive Axle

Removing

- Loosen the connection between the drive axle and wheel hub. Refer to => [ Threaded Connection Between Drive Axle and Wheel Hub, Loosening and Tightening ] Procedures.

- Remove the wheel.

- Remove coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the rear mufflers and brackets.

- Remove the rear final drive.

Only Applies to the Left Drive Axle






- Install the tensioning strap - 1 -. Install the bolt - 2 - and tighten by hand.

- Release the connector - 5 - from the left rear level control system sensor (G76) and remove it.






- Unclip the wiring harness - 4 -, if applicable.

Continuation for Both Drive Axles






- Remove the rear speed sensor - 1 -. Remove bolt - 2 - to do so.

- Remove the drive axle toward the inside.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Drive axle tightening specifications, refer to => [ Drive Axle with 88 mm Diameter Outer CV Joint and 100 mm Diameter Inner CV Joint Overview ] Drive Axle With 88 mm Diameter Outer CV Joint and 100 mm Diameter Inner CV Joint Overview.

Drive axle tightening specifications, refer to => [ Drive Axle with 100 mm Diameter Outer CV Joint and 108 mm Diameter Inner CV Joint Overview ] Drive Axle With 100 mm Diameter Outer CV Joint and 108 mm Diameter Inner CV Joint Overview.

- Install rear final drive.

- Install the rear muffler and brackets.

- Install the fuel tank tensioning strap.

- Install coil spring. Refer to => [ Coil Spring ] Service and Repair.

- Install the rear speed sensor.

- Tighten the wheel.

- Tighten the drive axle to the wheel hub threaded connection. Refer to => [ Threaded Connection Between Drive Axle and Wheel Hub, Loosening and Tightening ] Procedures.
