Headlamp Housing Repair Kit, Installing

Observe the notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence the headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ Halogen Headlamp, Adjusting ] Halogen Headlamp, Adjusting.

• Headlamp mounting tabs that have broken off can be replaced by installing the repair kit. Replacing the entire headlamp is not necessary.

• There are different repair kits for left or right headlamps. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Procedure






• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Headlamp Housing Repair Kit, Tightening Specification ] Halogen Headlamp Overview, Through MY 2011.

- Remove the headlamp with the broken tab. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Remove the remains of the broken tab from the headlamp.

- Place the mounting tabs - 2 and 4 - from the repair kit on the headlamp and secure the tabs with bolts - 1 and 3 -.
