Removing






Proceed as follows:

- Remove the tail lamp assembly.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the parking aid control module (J446) if applicable.

- Free up the electrical wiring harness on the control module bracket - arrow - by disconnecting the cable tie - 2 -.

- Press the grommet - 3 - outward.

- Remove the nut - 2 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - on the lower bumper cover section.

- Loosen the bumper cover locking mechanism - 3 - by turning the clamping bolt clockwise.






- Remove the left and right bolts - 1 - on the bumper cover side piece.

- Remove the left and right bumper cover side pieces on the side panel - arrow -.

- Remove the bumper cover - 2 -. The parking aid sensor electrical wire must be guided out through the body opening.

- Free up the electric wiring harness spiral clips.

• Use a soapy solution if necessary make removal easier.

Installing

• Gap dimensions, refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover Gap Dimensions ] .

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Bumper Cover Overview ] Bumper Cover Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the electrical connector on the parking aid control module (J446) if applicable.

- Install the tail lamps.
