Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module Bracket

Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Remove the memory seat adjustment/steering column adjustment control module. Refer to => [ Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module ] Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module.

- Press the pin - 2 - toward the upholster and out of the clip - arrow A - on the bracket - 1 -, for example, using an upholstery needle.






- Remove the pin - 2 - from the seat pan.

- Remove the bracket support base - 2 - from the seat pan upper frame.






- Unclip the clip - arrow A - at the seat pan upper frame - 1 -.

- Disengage the retaining tabs - arrow B - (quantity: 2).

- Carefully remove the bracket in the direction of the - arrow - from the seat pan.

- Remove the bracket from the seat pan.

Installing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way in and are secure.

Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Connect the battery ground (GND) cable with the ignition turned on.

If the airbag indicator lamp (K75) indicates a fault after installation, the DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
