HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/(J344)

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ Headlamps Checking and Adjusting Conditions ] Headlamps Checking and Adjusting Conditions.

Removing






Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Always disconnect the battery wire strap before working on gas-discharge headlamp components marked with yellow high-voltage symbols.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove screws - arrows -.

- Remove control module - 1 - from headlamp housing.

- Disconnect gas-discharge lamp adapter lead - 2 - at control module - 1 -.






Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps with Cornering Lamp Overview ] Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps With Cornering Lamp Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Check seal - 3 - between gas discharge headlamp control module and headlamp housing for damage.

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
