Condition





The turn signal indicator lens is inoperative without any damage from outside influence. Cracks have formed in the lens and as a result condensation can be seen behind the lens as shown in Figure 1.

Technical Background
The turn signal lens can crack due to the high amount of tension in the side mirror housing. The tension is due to improper installation of the mirror at the factory and is not a defect in the mirror housing. Replacing the mirror housing will not affect this condition.

Not applicable.

Service

1. Remove the side mirror as instructed by the ElsaWeb Repair manual.

2. Replace the damaged turn signal lens in the side mirror.

Electrical System >> Electrical Equipment >> 94 Exterior Lights, Switches >> Removal and Installation >> Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamps

3. Test turn signals.

4. Clear DTCs in electrical system.
