^ Headlight range control warning displayed in instrument cluster (Figure 1).

Workshop Findings:

^ Concern may or may not be duplicated.

^ DTCs may or may not be present.

^ Vehicle is equipped with cornering light and headlight range control module, J745, with either part number:

4H0907357B
8X0907357C

Note:

Only vehicles equipped with Xenon headlight are affected.

Technical Background

Manufacturing issues with J745 control units.

Production Solution

Revised control units.

Service

1. Using the scan tool, verify that the part number of J745 matches either:

4H0907357B
8X0907357C

If the part number does not match, this bulletin does not apply.

2. Remove the part and inspect the production information on the face of J745. If both of the conditions below apply, replace J745.





^ The production date of the component is between December 14th 2012,and January 17 2013 (14.12.12 - 17.01.13) (Figure 2, B).

^ The production assembly line is 2 (Figure 2, C).
