The DTC entry "B200000 control unit faulty" is stored in address word 3B for Sensor Electronics.
Technical Background
When DTC entry "B200000 control unit faulty" is discovered in address word 3B during unrelated service work, it may be caused by a software glitch. See the Service section for case handling.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
Scenario 1:
When the DTC is discovered during service work and all three conditions listed below are present, do not attempt a repair. The DTC entry is caused by a software glitch and can be ignored.
^ There is no related customer complaint.
^ The system is operating properly.
^ There is no warning message or MIL in the cluster which corresponds to the DTC.
^ With the three conditions listed above, do not attempt a repair.
Scenario 2:
When the DTC entry is accompanied by a customer complaint, system operation concern, cluster message, or MIL, proceed according to Guided Fault Finding.
