Fig. 56 Sensor plate height adjustment:

1. Energize fuel pump for about 10 seconds to build proper fuel pressure. The upper edge of the sensor plate nearest the fuel distributor should be flush with the upper part of the cone Fig. 56. The upper edge of the sensor plate may be as much as 0.5mm (0.020 in) below the beginning of the upper part of the cone, but must not project up into the cone at all. Sensor plate must be installed with 'TOP' or several punch marks facing up.
2. Before adjusting the sensor plate position, remove fuel pump relay bypass, (to avoid excess fuel discharge while moving sensor plate).
3. .Adjust the sensor plate position by bending the wire loop on the spring stop (arrow).
