Airflow

The intake airflow is measured in the airflow meter. Depending on the position of the sensor plate, a voltage signal will he sent from the potentiometer to the control unit which is used together with the speed pulse in an internal calculation to determine the engine load condition.

In order to prevent the sensor flap from becoming unstable due to the pulsating airflow, a compensating flap is provided for damping; however, the adjustment screw is sealed and adjustment is necessary only after major engine repairs.
