Checking Air Conditioning Idle Compensation

1. Connect voltmeter between terminal 4 and terminal 9, on idle control unit plug.
a. With the ignition and air conditioning on, at least 9 vdc should be present.
b. If not, check for broken wire according to wiring diagram, and repair as necessary.

2. Connect voltmeter between terminals 4 and 11.
a. With the ignition and air conditioning on, at least 9 vdc should be present after the solenoid has cut in.
b. If not, check for broken wire according to wiring diagram, and repair as necessary.
