Emission Control Systems: Description and Operation

The emission control systems are used to reduce harmful gases (CO, HC, and NOx) in the combustion engine exhaust.
BMW turbo diesel engines use the following emission control systems:

-Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV)
-Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
-Bosch Diesel Injection System (VP-20)
