Turbocharger: Service and Repair

1. Remove bolts securing exhaust pipe and the EGR tube clamp, and disconnect pressure regulator hose.
2. Loosen clamps securing crossover tube and remove tube.
3. Loosen air cleaner duct retaining nut and disconnect duct.
4. Remove oil supply line retaining bolts from top of housing, and remove oil line clamp.
5. Remove oil return line, bolt and sealing washers securing supply line to oil filter housing.
6. Remove EGR valve.
7. Remove turbocharger retaining bolts and the turbocharger assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install using new gaskets and sealing washers, and torque turbocharger bolts to 17 - 20 ft. lbs.
