Turbo Boost Sensor: Testing and Inspection
1. With engine stopped, inspect connecting rod between regulator and wastegate.
2. With wastegate fully closed, wastegate lever should rest against stop.
3. Disconnect pressure hose from regulator and connect suitable regulated pressure source.
4. Apply pressure to regulator while observing connecting rod.
5. Regulator should begin to open wastegate at 11.6 - 12.6 psi, and wastegate should remain in fixed position when constant pressure is applied. The wastegate control rod is factory adjusted and sealed. If boost regulation is not as specified, the pressure regulator and/or wastegate assembly must be replaced.
