Cooling System: Testing and Inspection

CHECKING COOLING SYSTEM FOR LEAKS






Mount Special Tool 17 0 000 on expansion tank.
Build up about 1 bar (14 psi) pressure in cooling system with manual pump.

Cooling system is fully tight, if there is no drop in pressure for about 1 to 2 minutes.






Mount radiator cap and tester on adapter and build up pressure with manual pump.






Opening pressure must agree with data in Specifications.







Check for leaks between combustion chamber and cooling system with "cylinder head gasket tester", HWB No.81 24 9 400 168.
