Component Tests and General Diagnostics
- Depressurise system. Service and Repair
- Remove the screw plug from the manifold and screw in, reducer 34 3 160 instead.
WARNING! Do not re-use oil draining from system.
Fitting Instructions:
Replace seal.
- Connect pressure gauge 32 4 000 to reducer. Connect drain hose 37 2 010 to pressure gauge and a suitable collection vessel.
- Close hoses (1) and (2) to reducer and reservoir as well as shut-off valves (3) and (4).
- Push control switch lever into position ''Fill or Lift'' (i.e. towards she rear) until the pressure gauge reads approx. 30 bar.
- Open the cutoff valve (4) slowly and observe the pressure gauge.
- The pressure at which the gauge pointer suddenly falls to 0 bar is the accumulator gas volume pressure.
- Repeat this test to check the correctness of the reading.
- If the test pressure is below 16 bar one or both accumulators must be replaced.
- To test the left hand accumulator the pipe line coming from the right hand accumulator should be detached from the manifold and closed.
- Carry out the test as described above.
- Test the right hand accumulator accordingly.
Fitting Instruction:
Tightening torque 20 Nm.
