Valve Clearance

Clearances for intake and exhaust should be:

Cold [1] 0.26 - 0.35mm (0.010 - 0.014in)
Hot [2] 0.34 - 0.39mm (0.013 - 0.015in)

[1]Cold (below 95° F, 35° C )
[2]Hot (185° to 203° F, 85 to 95° C )

NOTE: BMW provides both hot and cold valve clearance specifications but does NOT recommend hot valve clearance adjustment.
