Valve Clearance

Clearances should be:

Cold [1] 0.31 - 0.35mm (0.012 - 0.014in)
Hot [2] 0.35 - 0.40mm (0.014 - 0.016in)

[1] Cold (below 95° F, 35° C )
[2] Hot (185° to 203° F, 85 to 95° C )

NOTE: BMW provides both hot and cold valve clearance specifications but does NOT recommend hot valve clearance adjustment.
