POOR RADIO RECEPTION - AM BAND

A capacitor-equipped antenna cable was installed in some earlier production E32s.

Owners of these vehicles may comment about one of the following complaints (only with the engine running and the radio on AM band):

^ poor radio reception

^ excessive static

The capacitor is located in the antenna cable approximately 6-12 inches from the radio.





1) Carefully remove the shrink wrapping from the cable.





2) Cut the leads next to the capacitor and discard same.








4) Wrap several layers of electrical tape to protect this area of the cable.
