DME System 2

Injection Electronics (Motronic Control Unit II). Wiring Diagram:

1. With the ignition switch OFF, disconnect in-line connector X1537. Turn the ignition switch to the run (ON) position and make the following voltage measurement at X1537 (female half).

^ Brown/violet wire (terminal 1) and ground = Approx. 5 volts If not check wire from terminal 51 of X1601 to terminal 24 of X2000 for an open or short to ground. If the wire is OK the DME control unit is defective.
^ If the voltage is correct, refer to TRANSMISSSIONS, CLUTCHES, DIFFERENTIALS, AXLES AND DRIVE SHAFTS for testing procedures concerning the Electro-Hydraulic transmission.
