F3 Old SRS Recall
With the ignition switch in the "Off" position, insert tool into diagnostic socket until display illuminates (**).

NOTE: Applicable to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using Siemens control module only. Refer to Application and ID to verify control module identification. Application and ID

- After a few seconds, "F1" will appear on display.

Scroll through the function menu by pressing the "FUNC" button repeatedly until you have reached "F3". Leave ignition turned "Off". Press the "Enter" button to start the test.

- Display should show two dots (..) to indicate recall in progress.

Now turn the ignition "On".

- After a few seconds, display shows "F3" again, Flash Code(s) will activate the SRS warning lamp inside the vehicle.





Flash Code Sequence
A) 6 seconds lamp test

B) 1 to n flashes (n = # of faults), 3 seconds off

C) 3 seconds "On" (= start of fault code), 3 seconds "Off"

D) 1 - 4 flashes (NOTE THIS NUMBER), 3 seconds "Off"

E) 1 - 4 flashes (NOTE THIS NUMBER), 3 seconds "Off"

F) 1 - 4 flashes (NOTE THIS NUMBER), 3 seconds "Off"

G) 1 - 2 flashes (1 = intermittent fault; 2 = permanent fault), 3 seconds "Off"

H) If more than one fault, repeat from point C)


NOTE: Codes will NOT appear on the tool itself. See Trouble Code Table. With AST 5500

After the defect has been repaired, it is a good idea to repeat this test to make sure the result is consistent. Use function "F4" to clear the trouble code memory. With AST 5500
