Valve Clearance

Valve clearance for intake and exhaust should be:

Cold [1] .012 in (0.30 mm)
Hot [2] .014 in (0.35 mm)

[1] Cold (below 95° F, 35° C )
[2] Hot (185° to 203° F, 85 to 95° C )

NOTE: BMW provides both hot and cold valve clearance specifications but does NOT recommend hot valve clearance adjustment.
